Admission Notice for SC/ST Candidates to 5-year BS-MS Dual Degree Programme
Online applications are invited from meritorious Scheduled Cast (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates having good academic record both at class 10 and class 12 examinations (with Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology) for admission to 5-year BS-MS Dual Degree Programme for the academic session 2010-2011.

Selected candidates will be required to to join immidiately at the alloted IISER.

Shortlisting Criteria
Class 10 board examination: At least 60 % marks
and
Class 12 board examination: At least 60 % marks
and
Application fee deposited in bank

For those counseled on Aug.1,2010 (SC/ST) at Bhopal or Mohali, should come prepared to take immediate admission by paying required fees, if allotted to Bhopal or Mohali. Others would be allowed a few more days to join . Consult individual IISER website for more details.

Guidelines Regarding Aptitude Assessment Test and Counseling Scheduled for August 1, 2010
  • Candidates are supposed to report positively by 8:30 am on August 1, 2010 at the respective IISER or at the examination center mentioned by the respective IISER.
  • Candidates are requested to visit respective IISER’s website frequently for any update on venue of the examination, address, direction etc.
  • Candidates should bring the call letter downloaded from this website and other relevant documents mentioned therein.
  • No candidate will be allowed to take the Aptitude Assessment Test if he/she arrives beyond 9:30 am at the respective IISER/examination center and no excuses will be entertained.
  • Upon arrival, the documents mentioned in the call letters will be verified and a counseling fee of Rs 500/- will be collected by IISER members.
  • After document verification, candidates will be asked to appear for the Aptitude Assessment Test starting from 10:30 am on August 1, 2010.
  • The Aptitude Assessment Test will be of 90 minutes duration and will be of the Multiple Choice Questions format. Students are requested to bring ball pens (black/blue) and non-programming calculators.
  • After the Aptitude Assessment Test, the students will be given the Choice Forms, which they are required to fill up and return it to the invigilators. IISER faculty members will be present at site to help/counsel the candidates and furnish them with the required information (if needed) in order to fill the Choice Forms.
